UNIVERSITY OF ADELAIDE INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS 2016

University of Adelaide is pleased to offer 40 scholarships for international students, Undergraduate scholarships in 2016-2017 academic session. Scholarships will be awarded to undertake undergraduate degree program in any discipline.
The University of Adelaide aims to create and engender a university culture that values health, safety and wellbeing as fundamental components of the work environment, supported by safe systems of work, appropriate governance, training, management structures and operational strategies.




The University of Adelaide is one of Australia’s most prestigious universities and is renowned internationally for excellence in education and research.
Scholarships are available available for study in any discipline. The university’s preferred accredited English language tests are: IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson Test of English – Academic and CAE (Cambridge English: Advanced).
Course Level: Scholarships are available for students to pursue masters degree program at University of Adelaide.


 Study Subject: Scholarships are tenable in all subject areas except Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Oral Health and Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Bioscience) at the University of Adelaide.
Scholarship Award:University of Adelaide provides a waiver of 25% of the annual tuition fee for each year of the program for the full duration of the program, up to a maximum of four years in Undergraduate Scholarships.

2016 Newcastle University Nigeria Postgraduate Scholarships in UK,

Newcastle University is offering scholarships for pursuing postgraduate master’s degree programmes. Scholarships are available for Nigerian applicants in UK.
The vision is of Newcastle as a civic university with a global reputation for academic excellence.
Newcastle University mission statement recognises the breadth of academic purpose, its current and aspirational strengths, and its pivotal position in society.
Applicants need a good level of English language to study at Newcastle University. They will need to provide a recognised English language test or qualification unless they are exempt. This is usually a test score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, but requirements can vary between IELTS 6.0 to 8.0. All students need at least 5.5 in each sub-skill, or equivalent.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing postgraduate master’s degree programmes at Newcastle University.

Scholarship Award: The full scholarship covers: £5,000 payable towards the first year of tuition fees.

2016 Academic Excellence International Masters Scholarship in UK

University of Essex is inviting applications for academic excellence international masters scholarship. These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and all academic applications will automatically be considered. Successful applicants will be notified of their award by the end of October 2016. The application deadline is 30th September 2016.

2016/2017 Swansea University Undergraduate & Masters Scholarship


Swansea University is inviting applications for merit and excellence scholarships to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. The university offers up to £1.5 million worth of scholarships for international students.
The aim of the Swansea University scholarship is to enable and encourage academically able international students.
Swansea University is a research-led university that has been making a difference since 1920. The university has enjoyed a period of tremendous growth, and we have achieved our ambition to be a top thirty research university, soaring up the 2014 Research Excellence Framework league table to 26th in the UK from 52nd in 2008.
SWELT is the official English language test for international students wishing to study at Swansea University. The test is designed, administered and marked by English Language Training Services staff and is accepted by Swansea University as an alternative to IELTS as part of applicants application for a CAS.

MBA Scholarship at University of Queensland in Australia, 2016 (Women Only)

University of Queensland Business School is offering up to four (4) scholarships for pursuing MBA program (and MBA articulation pathway). Scholarships are offered to outstanding woman students to apply for July 2016 intake.

Eligibility: The scholarship will entitle the successful applicants to receive a 50% discount on their course tuition fees for a maximum period of 24 months. If the scholarship recipient exceeds the 24 months timeframe they become solely responsible for the full tuition cost of any and all remaining courses after the date specified in the scholarship offer. The scholarship will be renewed at the end of each semester for a period of 24 months if the holder:
-obtains satisfactory grades; and
-maintains a satisfactory rate of continuous enrolment for a period of 24 months within the MBA program; and
-fulfils the obligations of an MBA student; and
-remains an MBA student.
Nationality: Australian, permanent residents or New Zealand and international students can apply for these scholarships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Bachelor degree or equivalent with a GPA of at least 4.50 on a 7 point scale and four years full-time work experience post-graduation including at least two of the four years full-time work experience gained while working in a dedicated supervisory/management role as approved by the Executive Dean; or graduate diploma in Business Administration from UQ or equivalent with a GPA of at least 4.50 on a 7 point scale.
Test Requirement: International applicants must complete the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) with a minimum score of 550.
English Language Requirement: To meet the UQ’s English language proficiency requirements, student must demonstrate one of the following:
-a score equivalent to four semesters of Sound Achievement in Queensland Studies Authority English or Australian or international equivalent. Less than four semesters may be considered for some programs.
-at least 6.5 overall and a minimum of 6.0 in each sub-band of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent test. Some programs have higher English proficiency requirements; see individual program requirements.
MBA Scholarships for International Students, 2016
Supporting Material: In addition to the application for the scholarship, the applicant must submit the following documents
-Official transcripts of previous studies.
-Evidence of work experience including details of management experience in the form of a CV. Please ensure that CV includes full work history, and outlines the major activities student undertake on a daily basis.
-Two written references that are work related. Applicant’s referees need to substantiate the nature of their work and the managerial duties they currently perform. They should verify details including but not limited to: managing a team of people, managing client accounts, the managerial components of any major projects they have been directly responsible for, and/or financial delegations for which student is directly responsible. All references must be to the satisfaction of the MBA Director
-Evidence of residency status.
-Permanent residents will be required to sit an IELTS and/or GMAT test if their prior studies were taught in an institution where English was not the language of instruction.
How to Apply: Applicants must meet each of the following conditions in order to apply for the scholarship:
-have already submitted an application for entry into the MBA program and be eligible to receive an ‘unconditional’ offer for admission. That is, student must have met the official entry criteria for acceptance into the MBA program (including GMAT, English Language proficiency, and work experience); and
-provide a personal statement of no more than 1000 words (use 1.5 spacing and 12 point font) in support of their application. This statement should:
a. explain why they want to undertake the MBA at UQ Business School; and
b. describe what value they think they will bring to their fellow MBA students; and
c. outline long-term career goals; and
d. provide evidence of leadership skills and community involvement; and
e. outline how they will add value to the MBA program; and
-supply two written references as follows:
a. a professional reference from a current or former (recent) supervisor or manager; and
b. a character reference; and
-attend an interview if required—in Australia or via video-conference/skype/phone. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted as required to arrange a suitable time; and
-Not have been awarded any other MBA scholarship as defined by UQ Business School.
-Applications for admission to the MBA program should be submitted separately to their scholarship application.

International Master’s Scholarship Program at University of Paris-Saclay in France, 2016-2017

Over 170 international scholarships are open for one year to M1 or M2-level students. These scholarships are available for prospective students commencing for master’s (nationally-certified degree) programs for the 2016-2017.
The University of Paris-Saclay would like to promote access to its master’s (nationally-certified degree) programs to international students, taught in its member establishments, and to make it easier for highly-qualified foreign students to attend its University especially those wishing to develop an academic project through research up to the doctoral level.
University of Paris-Saclay is developing a strategy of international university cooperation, based on the quality of education provided by its members and research teams, which boast the highest international standards.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships – information for candidates

 

Commonwealth Scholarships for Master’s and PhD study in the UK are offered for citizens of developing Commonwealth countries. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), with the aim of contributing to the UK’s international development aims and wider overseas interests, supporting excellence in UK higher education, and sustaining the principles of the Commonwealth.
Students from developing countries who would not otherwise be able to study in the UK can apply for Commonwealth Shared Scholarships for Master’s study, jointly supported by UK universities.
Purpose: To contribute to development needs of Commonwealth countries by providing training for skilled and qualified professionals and academics who would not otherwise have been able to study in the UK.
Intended beneficiaries: High-quality postgraduate students who have not studied extensively overseas before, who would not otherwise have the opportunity to study in the UK, and who have the potential to enhance the development of their home countries with the knowledge and leadership skills they acquire.
Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are offered for selected taught Master’s courses, and are usually tenable for one year only. These scholarships do not cover undergraduate courses, PhD study, or any pre-sessional English language teaching.

YALI leadership training opportunities in Africa: Regional Leadership Centers

 

In July 2014, President Obama announced the creation of YALI Regional Leadership Centers in Africa. Starting in summer 2015, these centers will build on existing institutional capacity in Africa to provide high quality training, mentoring, and networking support to a greater number of young leaders than can be reached through the Mandela Washington Fellowship. The Centers will reach exceptional young leaders between the ages 18 and 35 from a wide range of backgrounds and diverse experiences.The Regional Leadership Centers will:
  • Provide Quality Leadership Training: The Centers will provide certificate courses on leadership and issues across multiple sectors.
  • Support Entrepreneurship: The Centers will provide entrepreneurship support services, including mentoring, technology, and access to capital.
  • Enhance Professional Development and Networking: The Centers will offer young leaders the opportunity to network with each other, American professionals, and experts from across the region, as well as obtain internships and mentorships.
Young leaders from across sub-Saharan Africa are encouraged to learn more about and apply to the Regional Leadership Center in their region.
